Cafe Im Kloster in Hirsau

Cake and hot chocolate were delicious and the service was very nice.

Cozy interior to linger, delicious coffee and cake, friendly staff in an old monastery, very recommendable.

We arrived in Hirsau after a hike which we started in Calmbach. For better or worse we had a picnic break shortly before arriving in Hirsau, so at the Café we were rather full, however we did were able to have a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows which was rather enjoyable. Other positive impressions we left the Café with were the impeccable decoration of the building and the friendly service from all staff. All of these elements framed in the setting of the impressive Kloster ruins made it quite an experience.

The cake is amazing. You have to stand to select them but from looking at them you fall in love and the decision is harder. The location is very nice and cosy. The decoration can bring you to older times.

Really nice place, good cakes and coffee. Only problem, as everything that is in Germany... They close at 6PM! But well, you need to get used.

Very cozy and super nice staff. Was able to spontaneously enjoy the very rich selection of cakes with 8 people. A lot of effort is also made for people with lactose intolerance

Simply terrific! Inside very nicely furnished, outside directly at the monastery ruins! Coffee and kitchen great, service very nice! The cafe is only open from Thursday to Sunday!

Last Sunday we were in the beer garden and "only" wanted to have a drink. Unfortunately, it didn't happen because the service staff was more concerned with themselves than with the guests. Ok., The café was well attended, but 3 service staff were completely overwhelmed with the situation. So after about 20 minutes we left annoyed without ordering anything. The only positive thing was the friendliness. Sorry, gastronomy works differently!

Only 4 stars, as the service is not really friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day. The Carl itself is very nicely arranged and cozy.

Very warm and lovely waitresses. Cake very tasty! Also great that there was a free glass of water with our ordered drinks - very helpful on hot days. Great!

Highly recommended! Beautiful framework surrounded by old monastery walls. The small café leaves nothing to be desired, from cakes to paninis, with coffee and beer, everything there. A star less toilet outside, but not far away.

Very nice, lovingly furnished café with friendly staff. Idyllically located in the cloister courtyard. The entrance is wheelchair accessible; Payment by EC card is also possible. Clean and well-kept public toilets with a separate entrance. There is a selection of cakes, ice cream, paninis (also vegetarian) and even vegan coffee specialties; I opted for a delicious cappuccino with soy milk. Gladly again! ☕️😊

Oh what a beautiful little café. Located in the area of the old monastery ruins the location could not be much better. Charming old house , great coffee, best hot chocolate ever ( as my daughter stated) and wonderful friendly servies. If you are in Hirsau, don't miss out and visit this little gem.

A wonderful place to relax with coffee and cake. Here you can really relax and the absolutely unique ambience does its part. When the weather is nice you can sit outside, in the sun or in the shade as you like, you have a wonderful view of the monastery. The interior of the cafe is contemporary, with seating, chests and chandeliers from great-grandmother's times. Super friendly staff, very tasty cakes and tarts, also beer and wine as well as a good selection of soft drinks are available here. The prices are reasonable.

Very nicely decorated and really cozy cafe. Perfect for a break after a stroll through the monastery complex. There are both sweets (cake, ice cream) and savory (soup of the day, panini) and of course different coffee variations. The service was very friendly. And dogs are allowed in.

Cafe at the monastery was almost magical. Not only are the owners absolutely perfect, kind and wonderful hosts, but the food is delicious. It was like being inside a Brothers Grimm Story in a beautiful black forest home. Make sure you stop here, they made our day.

Don't miss the 🍰 (Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte) and with a cappuccino - very nice place
